I'm a student at the art school of lausanne (ECAL), in the domain of photography.
Assisted suicide was treated a lot in newspapers in Switzerland during the last few months. What bothered me was, that the topic was treated mostly very lopsided. Mainly the discussion was about the confrontation of outsider with the course of action. But to the people that go through this procedure wasn't payed any attention.
This put the idea in my hand to do a photo-project about a person that is going trough assisted suicide. I wanted to follow the person during his last few hours and document it photographically.
I'm conscious of the fact that it's a heavily hard step for the person that is committing assisted suicide and that such a project could be ethically very delicat. That's why to me it's very important to discuss the project in-depht with the person before.
I'd appreciate a lot, if someone, in case he might be interested to participate this project, would contact me.
Best wishes

I think it's a good idea, to photographe and film the process of Suicide, from beginning of contacting Dignitas, the conversations about life and dead as far as to the deadline. So it would be possible to present the work of dignitas the commonality. It would be one possibility to reach a bit more appreciation in the general public for the situation of physical and mental sick people.
