Insomnia

Beitrag von when_the_time_comes »

It is now just after 6am UK time and it is another of those nights where I cannot sleep. I feel sleep resistant like my body is somehow rejecting it. It seems to be one good night followed by a bad night every other day where I get so exhausted that I sleep remarkably well. The other thing is waking up very early and not getting back to sleep.

I take melatonin but on a bad night even the max dose is not enough. Can anyone here recommend a suitable med or treatment as this is ruining my life and I just want to get back to my old sleep routine?

Hi there,

I have been taking Mirtazapin for a while, which was not only reduced (completely) my ability to focus and think but also knocked me out when taking a 30mg dose. I somehow do not liked that stuff and can’t recommend it, especially if you have to work (think and focus) the next day.

What I prefer to consume is cannabis, which helps me personally a lot to get my own mind not making my life harder than it needs to be… but it’s - despite being legal to have now - not possible to just purchase around the corner.

Kind regards

Hi,

my English isn't very well so I hope you are able to understand what I want to tell you.

Do you habe the possibility to go to a psychiatric doctor? every body reacts in an own way to meds. and the meds have to been...I don't know the word for that in English. The doctor has to give you a recipe for these meds.
Some of these meds can you make addicted to them. So it is important to talk to a doctor.

At tgis time I take "Quetiapin/Seroquel" in a minimal dose for sleeping when I need something.

I know Insomnia. You are not alone <3

Maybe someone can translate my bad English text into a good English text:D

@Emely
Hi! Your English is fine and I think the text is easy to understand, so no need for any further translation. Related to medication, I would choose the term prescription over recipe- that's all.
In fact you made a very important statement
pointing out that meds work differently due to a person's individual drug tolerance and constitution, and that they may cause unintended side effects
and interactions, even serious ones.

Hi! I totally agree with Emely to recommend a
doctor's consultation, asking for an appropriate remedy which could be safely combined with the current medication plan of yours.
Concerning natural downers I just remembered that e.g. St. John's wort must not be mixed with a wide range of pharmaceuticals, since it could disturb and change their desired effects massively.

Best wishes to you both ˚°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・୭
